Plus
Nymo (nylon beading thread) size B in coordinating color and Size 12 or 13
beading needle (not included in kit).
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Measure your wrist for bracelet size. You will
need about 5X this length of Nymo beading thread
on your needle. If desired, for extra strength, double your thread.
- You will be making a self-clasp out of one of the
hearts plus a beaded loop. Leave about a 3-5" tail and start stringing
a 4mm TO round, 8/0 gold, copper pearl, 8/0 gold, 11/0 gold, 8/0 gold, 11/0
gold, 8/0 gold, a TO heart and 11/0 gold (see diagram below). Looping around
the 11/0, go BACK through the heart and the bead sequence, tying a knot here
and there and adding a dab of glue to each knot. Let the glue dry, and then
begin stringing the bracelet with *8/0 gold, TO heart, 8/0 gold, copper
pearl, 8/0 gold, 4mm TO round. Repeat from * until bracelet is desired
length.
- To finish the bracelet, string an 8/0 gold bead,
then enough 11/0 gold seeds to comfortably loop around the first TO heart,
but not so many that it would slip off, approximately 36. Then bring your
needle back through the 8/0 gold bead, the 4mm TO round, etc., tying knots
and gluing as you did to begin the bracelet. If desired, for strength, you
can go back through all of the beads on the bracelet and tie to the tail you
left hanging to begin with. Knot and glue.
 |
Hint: Try to make your knots
near one of the 8/0 gold beads so you can slip the knot inside the bead to
hide it better. |
These instructions
could be used with any 12mm gemstone heart bead, using 4mm matching rounds, 7mm
pearls, 8/0 and 11/0 seeds.
