Beaded Cabochon Tutorial 3

Additional Detail for Abalone Kits:

  1. To create the lacy edging, work your thread to the middle of the edge, and start doing peyote in the middle row, filling in with the pack marked "D", silver lined purple 10/0 seeds (1). Then do another row around the edge with the silver lined purple seeds (2).
  2. Now do a three bead picot with the transparent AB seeds marked "E" all around the edge, going through two of the purple seeds in the second row, and then doing a picot of three transparent AB seeds.
  3. Now do a 5-6 bead picot with the transparent AB seeds, going through the middle bead of the 3 bead picot of the previous row. Weave thread into work.
  4. You can finish your beaded cab by gluing a pin back on it, or you can create a peyote strip and attach it to each side of the cab to make a choker.
